Free Dream, Dream Free
This poem is one I wrote in March 2015 while working with the Voices of Dan Street, an outreach program at the Ohio Summit County Juvenile Detention Center at 650 Dan Street in Akron, OH.
Freedom is a dream,
And dreams are freedom.
In dreams, anything can happen–
New places can be explored,
New people can be met,
New friends can be made…
Old friends can be remembered.
Old places can be explored.
Old feelings can be felt.
In dreams you find freedom
Because freedom is a dream.
