Wrapped Around my Mind
The prompt for this one was, “Imagine you’re touching some aluminum foil…”
My ears are screaming white,
Teeth are ringing yellow,
Nerves are crying orange,
Grating red against the cold touch—warning!
Silver taste spreading, loud and clear,
Permeating my mind like mercury
Until I can hear Mars—
I come in pieces.
Bend and mold, heat and hold,
Wrap it around my mind—help!
Alien communication to my eyes, but
My nose knows no better.
